Monrosso Tuscan Red Blend Estate 2018

Castello di Montsanto has been a benchmark in Chianti Classico since the 1960's. They employ traditional winemaking using large old oak botti for aging, and were one of the first to introduce stainless steel fermentation to the area. The Toscana Monrosso is a playful Tuscan blend of French and Italian varieties, a nod to the Super Tuscans that took the world by storm a few decades ago. This showcases bright red fruit, crushed violets, and a bit of spice while being relatively light on the palate with firm but smooth tannins and fresh acidity. This is a wine for any day of the week. Enjoy this wine with prosciutto and arugula pizza or grilled Italian sausage sandwiches and nutty firm cheeses like parmesan or pecorino.
